Story

STITCH Bar & Lounge in the Garment Center opened in 2004. The main floor features a long gracious, sweeping oak bar and high casual dining tables. The mezzanine level with its self contained party space looks over onto the main bar which is brought out by cottage red and copper trimmed molding giving the space warn and inviting feel.

Huge bar with an average beer selection. They also have a huge selection of other liquor though I cannot say I've tried cocktails here. The staff is super friendly and the food is better than expected for a bar. It gets pretty crowded after work, since it appear to be mostly a commuter bar. Only thing that I would improve on is staying open regularly since they tend to close quite a bit for private functions or if the place is empty.

It took forever to place an order: nobody came to the table, I had to go to the bar. They added 20% "autogratuity" even though the order was placed on one card and was only for 4 persons (and they expected tips on top of that). Bouncer was rude (actually I thought he was drunk or high by the time we were leaving). (P.S. we were there for the trivia game - maybe they manage better on usual days, but I definitely won't come there again, and will ask our organizers to avoid this place for future events)

Stitch Bar & Lounge is the perfect place to stop, sit, relax and have a cocktail after walking around and shopping in the garment district. The bar has a nice ambience and the service is friendly. The bartenders make some great cocktails.

My colleagues and I love going here for happy hour. 20 wings for $12 (Teriyaki Sauce is my favorite) and $5 draft of the day is an amazing deal! Our server Ava is a sweetheart every time we are there. She deserves a promotion! Thanks Stitch!
