Great place!  Fun Polynesian interior great food, and beautiful outdoor bar and patio.  Inside is cool and comfortable.  Had brunch with family and everyone loved it.  Wait staff was very friendly and I'd definitely go back again.  Don't like to give many five star reviews so they will really mean something when I do.  This place definitely deserves it.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.  WILL NOT RETURN.  LISTEN TO THE LOCALS.  I LIVE IN PALM SPRINGS.  I'm a regular who had reservations tonight for a specific booth at 7:00 pm.  I was promised a specific booth.  When I arrived at 6:30, I checked in with the host. I was told the table was ready and I said that I wanted to find my guest in the bar and I would return before 7:00 to be seated.  The host was very cordial.  Upon my return just before 7:00, there was a hostess ( a very rude woman) who informed me that my reservation would not be honored for the specific table I had requested (and reserved three days earlier), because they wanted to seat larger parties at the table, and since I was a party of two, my reservation would not be honored.  She further told me that no table was guaranteed, even though she had not made the reservation, or promise of a specific table.  I was told that a table would be available soon, but not the one I had reserved.  I said that that was unprofessional, that I had made a reservation, stated the number of guests, requested my usual table, and was promised it.  I was told by this rude woman that she would not honor my reservation, even though the table had been reserved for me and my guest, she had already seated a larger party at the table.  She was not even apologetic.  She was NASTY!!!  She was ARROGANT!!!  Three weeks earlier I had this table with three guests, and spent over $400.  While the food is not that exceptional at this restaurant, the service had always been good in my experience.  This woman was horrible!!! No manners!  No class!!  She should be fired, and would never work for me.  No honor for what had been reserved.  And, rude!!!  Just for the record, this was Friday, July 21st, 7:00, and reservations are not honored at this establishment.  Not only will I never eat there again, but I will tell everyone I know what a horrible experience I had at Tropicale.  STAY AWAY!!  THERE ARE MANY BETTER PLACES TO EAT IN PALM SPRINGS, THAT HONOR RESERVATIONS!!!!

Best place in town.  Chris & Mikey are the best bartenders, Dan is the most awesome waiter and Lynn is the best hostess always has our bar seats or table ready.

The food is great never a bad meal. We are weekly diners.

Great place for wonderful and calm atmosphere.  Food was great, so was service. Great Sunday evening Sushi and Fish tacos!!!!

Outstanding outdoor dining and patio bar.  This is where the locals congregate over Happy Hour drinks and grub.  An air conditioned inside bar and dining room is also available for those non-outdoorsy patrons.  The service is friendly, the drinks are good and the food is delicious.  Give it a try -- you won't be disappointed.
