Personally, I love this place. It's old school; order at the counter, find a seat and they bring it to you at your seat. The food is good and comparatively cheap. The service is good and they keep the coffee coming. I would come back here again.

Omg this place is amazing. The hash browns were so filling and delicious and my burger hit the spot. The price was awesome too. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and super hungry!

Yummy food. Good price. Simple service. Retro atmosphere. The food won't be good for you, but it tastes amazing. Just what I want in a burger.

I was so glad to find a very reasonably priced restaurant with American food...no fancy, overpriced California vegan, gluten free, blah, blah , blah food there! Huge menu to chose from & breakfast served all day! Great portion sizes too. I spent $26 on a regular no frills grilled cheese at a tourist trap bar 2 blks down from John's! The next day I found John's and bought a whole meal for $6 including drink. I did bring my food back to my hotel patio. As the ambiance is definately a priority there. Its an old school diner. Nothing fancy but good!

The price it's right! So, you do get what you paid for. Portions are big and tasty, but to my taste the food could be very greasy sometimes. But, I  love their french fries.
Salads are huge my favorite its Santa Fe Salad. Sometimes as a dinner special (usually on Fridays) They have ribs one of the best in the Coachella Valley. This place gets very busy, there is usually a line to order your food.  Service it's fast, you ordered in the counter, then  the servers will bring your food to your table promptly. 
Since you ordered your food at the counter,  the servers are not that great. The other day I asked a server for coffee cream and to my surprise, she pointed at the corner where I can find them. So, there is room for improvement.For this reason I will give them 3 stars.
 Beer and cheap wine are also sold here.
