Mr. Schwarz, this review is updated to reflect the professional and courteous manner displayed by your staff at checkout.   Upon hearing of my dissatisfaction with the way I was treated by staff and the call center the previous night, steps were immediately taken to resolve the issue in a mutually satisfying manner.  You have a wonderful hotel with, for the most part, fantastic staff, clean and spacious rooms and a great location.  Based on check in I was not sure of ever returning, but by checkout I was sold.  Please tell your staff, Andrew and Gwen,  job well done.

, generally I just love staying at the Westin. I find it refreshing and Incredibly comfortable and friendly. I enjoy coming to the Westin better than the Ritz- Carlton these days. It's more relaxed without sacrificing quality or friendliness or service, and they actually have free  coffee until reasonable hours say 10 every morning in the lobby.

The Westin Richmond is a beautiful hotel very convenient to the University of Richmond and the shopping and dining in Short Pump. It has all the conveniences of a Westin like the Heavenly Bed, the Tea Tree toiletries, the bathrooms are large and well lit. Rooms are relatively new, very clean, and the staff is superb. I recently had an issue with a reservation prior to arrival, left a message for Feliks Schwartz the General Manager of the hotel, he personally returned my phone call within 15 minutes and solved the issue to my complete satisfaction immediately. I couldn't ask for a better customer experience.
 I'm normally here on weekends and I have noticed a large number of travel team groups that always seem to be staying here that can be somewhat loud in the lobby. However I have never had a problem with groups keeping me awake at night in my room. The rooms are quiet, spacious, beautiful, but most importantly comfortable.
Top notch staff, comfortable well appointed  rooms. What more do you want in a hotel? You can do much worse than to stay at the Westin Richmond on your visits Richmond.

Update 11.11.17: Stayed at this location again (11.10.17 to 11.12.17) and had a great time. The employees at the front desk were very friendly and the room was extremely quiet and clean. I had the calamari and a beer at the bar, both of which were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Richmond or anyone who lives in Richmond and is looking for a staycation.

The room was a nice size, the bathroom was nice, and the view was great. Customer service is great. The restaurant is a little pricey, as expected; but, the food and drinks are of quality. I'd go again.

Overall I like this hotel. Beds are comfy and the shower is super nice. One complaint: while there are two elevators, only one works. When everyone is leaving for work in the morning, elevator service is slow from all the traffic. I was here 5 months ago and it was the same situation. Fix the elevator and I'd give it another star.
