Dr Kazdan is very personable and funny. I have no problem with his "doctoring." The reason i am giving him only 1 star is because he overbooks his office and the wait time is rediculous. The last 3 times i've been there, i waited over am hour to be seen, while many people who arrived after me were called before me. One time when i mentioned this to the receptionist after waiting in the general waiting room for an hour, she said "let me see whats going on," and then minutes later i was put in another room to wait another 30 minutes. He may be a good doc, but i think its extremely unprofessional to keep people waiting this long. It doesnt seem like they think my time is important. I hope this problem gets fixed, or im finding a new doctor.

Let me start out by saying that Dr. Kazdan appears to be a very good doctor and my experience has always been good until now. I have a heart condition and need 2 or 3 visits to my cardiologist every year. When I asked Dr. K who is my primary physician for a referral to my preferred cardiologist, he said he only refers to his preferred cardiologists. I had a problem with his choices and requested to see my cardiologist who was in the Humana network. He told me that Humana would not allow this, but strangely, Humana informed me that they have no problem accepting my cardiologist. So Dr. Kazdan told me that his priority was to get me the best possible health care. HE LIED. He told me that he would make a request to Humana just to show me that they would decline his request. He was right, they declined the request for my cardiologist, but the reason for the decline was that Dr. Kazdan, in his fax to Humana had actually asked Humana to DENY my request. Let it be known that Dr. Kazdan is first concerned with lining his pockets with his preferred referrals, and then the patients' health care. I am editing this because of the Dr's response. When I called Dr. Kazdan yesterday, I asked for an explanation for the denial of the referral. He never offered an explanation or to help in any way. This issue had nothing to do with my insurance plan. Humana has a referral system and they were willing to make an exception to allow me to see my preferred cardiologist, except Dr. Kazdan had requested that they deny the referral request. Dr. Kazdan is probably a very good doctor and his wife is an excellent NP. He just was not willing to offer any flexibility in helping me with my healthcare needs and was actually obstructive. I apologize for saying the doctor lied when he said that my cardiologist was not in the Humana network. He just didn't tell the truth :) In addition, if you spent as much time helping me as your patient get the care that I needed as you did writing a response to your shortcomings as a medical professional, we wouldn't have needed this discussion.

I have been going to Dr.Kazdan for the past 8 yrs and I love it! He is a great Dr. With a great sense of humor. I live in Cutler Bay and it takes me about 45-50 min to get to his office. Totally worth it!

I was a patient for 4 years at this office. The only reason I stayed for so long is because their scheduling was fast and appointments used to be less than 2 hours total. That being said, I do not feel this doctor really listens to his patients or is interested in their total health. He is crass, insincere and the office no longer runs on time.
