Went for the Sunday breakfast buffet and was disappointed by the quality of food however the atmosphere and live soul music made up for it along with the friendly and quick service.
The scrambled eggs were watery and you had to skim off the top and the pancakes were tough and tasted store bought. Gravy for the biscuits was a little bland too and could of used some sage sausage or a little rosemary in it to enhance it. They had an excellent dessert selection and I had their banana and bread pudding and it was super tasty! They also had a meat carving station with brisket and roast which was delicious as well.
On the whole I would come back for desert, drinks, and live music but not so much for the main course.
The breakfast buffet was expensive too, $22.95 per person and did not include a drink.

Soul food spot. I went for their Sunday brunch which was decent. I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and the flavored mimosas. The buffet is definitely overpriced at $22.95. I don't think it was worth that.  I was expecting $15.95 based on what was served. The fish is frozen cod fillets and they were slow on replenishing missing items on the buffet.

Attractive surroundings.  Attentive staff.  Inviting buffet selection.  Generous portions.  Delicious fried chicken, catfish, greens, corn muffins, string beans, Salisbury steak, ham and more...gustatory temptations galore!!! A wonderful addition to East Side restaurant choices!!!!  Thank you, Mr. Gradney and staff.

After much consideration I ordered the smothered pork chop, cornbread dressing, collard greens and candied sweet potatoes with cornbread. Excellent meal. Portions are generous and well prepared. There were 3 of us and not a complaint from anyone. Our server  Tyra was engaging providing great service with a sincere smile. Looking forward to the next visit. Love what's been done with the place.

I like the new venue. The food on the buffet is delicious. The entertainment is always good. There is such a fun vibe here always..One of my favorite spots in S.A.
