Tony' s is a wonderful bar, especially if you are looking for a second place to call home. The drinks are delicious, the bar tenders are amazing, and they have some amazing and infamous shots called hot nuts (if you haven't tried them, drop what you're doing now and go try them). Tony is frequently there and truly does care about the bar and the people at his bar. A dart board (and a dart league) as well as a large patio on the side. Can't go wrong by going to Tony's.

One of my four standards in Athens.  A local landmark. Looking for friendly service?  Probably consider other bars; the slogan is "Where Everybody Calls You Names", which is just how we like it.

Was carded last night (no big deal) until the bartender told me that I wasn't me and stole my card. When I pulled out my student ID, he took that as well. As I pull out my credit card to again, confirm that I'm myself, he smugly told me he would confiscate that too if he could.

After I give him one final chance to work this out with me, the bartender laughs and walks away so I called the police. When the policewoman arrived she quickly proved me to be who I said I was and forced the bartender to give me back my IDs. When the embarrassing ordeal was over, I got no apology from the owner who was seemingly drunk standing nearby. The bartender of course didn't make any effort to right his wrong.

This disheartens me as there hadn't been a Tuesday in months that I didn't miss Jazz night, and I quite honestly don't feel right about visiting Tony's anymore after this. I'm from a small town and we handle things personally, here at Tony's you get ignored and discriminated upon.

1/5 would not recommend for the youthful.

Long time to get served drink but jazz night is good. On the bright side of you have boobs you'll get served fairly quick.
