We've been taking our puppy here for the past year. The team here is always available to answer questions and the veterinarians are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

This vet is so accommodating, clean, and they really care for your pet. I was nervous to bring my puppy in because it was the one recommended by the pet store that I got my dog from and I was not sure if I would be dealing with honest people. Also some of the reviews on here made me concerned. But let me assure you, I have never confronted any rude personnel. Everyone is warm and inviting, and knowledgeable. They allow you to ask any questions you want answered without feeling rushed. Your pet will be in good hands here, I know mine is.

I love this place! They always have an appointment for the same day when I call and need one. The entire staff is super friendly and know me by name when I come in. Dr. Urgo is so sweet and gentle, I love it when she is in the office. I've been having issues with a stray cat getting into it with my 3 cats (mainly my 2 boys) and when I have to bring them in I always know they're in good hands with Dr. Urgo and all of the staff members.

We have used them for seven years for our pet's checkups and boarding. I have absolutely no complaints about their service. The staff immediately recognizes our pets the minute we walk in the door and treats them like they were their own pets. I never worry about their care when we go on a long trip. I read some comments about the reception staff, being rude. I have never experienced that. Sometimes the reception is very busy with several clients at the desk and the phones ringing, so they are a little quick with you, but even then they are professional and friendly.

Seven years ago, we were looking into having our 8-week old Boston terrier's dew claws removed (they were done improperly) and our primary vet was going to do it along with her spay, but I wanted a second opinion. I came across Towne Line, which was a fairly new practice that had received good reviews. I emailed Dr. Gurtman, who responded in less than 24 hours. I then made an appointment and met with Dr. Kothari, who immediately won me over with her warmth and attentive disposition with my puppy, Roxy. What sealed the deal was her insistence that we not proceed with correcting the dew claws, because it was the equivalent of removing fingers at this point. She educated me about why it should not be done. They also offered to keep her overnight for monitoring if we decided to do the spaying with them. For these reasons, we made the trek from Glen Cove and had Roxy spayed and microchipped with Towne Line. Dr. Gurtman did the procedure and he was so precise, you'd barely know she ever had one. Fast forward to our moving to Melville and Roxy fracturing her tooth. Once again, I reached out to Dr. Gurtman and by the next morning, I had an email advising against a costly an unnecessary decision for treatment. I went in and met with Dr. Gurtman in person and again there was the same warmth towards my dog, patience towards my many many questions and education regarding her condition. We had the fractured tooth extracted and the experience was excellent as expected. Dr. Gurtman called me later that day himself to advise how the procedure went. Imagine that! The doctor calling you directly to let you know how it went and to answer any questions! I picked her up later that day just before they closed and started questioning the bill. The receptionist went to ask, and suddenly, Dr. Gurtman was next to me with an explanation. I was surprised he was even still there that late after a long day of surgeries. In my experience, there are veterinary practices that rely on the love you have for your pet, knowing that you'd do anything or pay anything to care for it and then using that to take advantage. That is NOT what you get with Dr. Gurtman and his team. You get compassion, integrity, and an understanding that caring for your furry family member should not entail a hefty financial burden or unnecessary tests and procedures. I am happy to continue Roxy's veterinary care with Towne Line.
