Great place for shopping. Variety of ready to eat items. Quality products. Always a compact store unlike Safeway. You don't have run from one corner to the other to buy all you want. Best place for those who work and really short of time and can't afford to spend all their time at the store. Reasonable rate also. I will always give a five star.

This is a good Trader Joe's.  The main drawbacks are that it is crowded, especially on weeknights, the selection of some things can be limited, and you have to hunt if you want to find the bargains.  That said, there's plenty of your Trader Joe's favorites on hand, and the service is usually very good.  Lines typically move fast, and they do give out samples on occasion.  What this place could use is about 50% more space, or some way to make more room, but for now it's a very welcome part of downtown Berkeley that you'll want to visit.

Epic corporate grocery shop I remember from my childhood growing up in Southern California in the 1980's. They have gotten a lot of things right over the years. They have some quality goods for sale and as always in the Trader Joe's tradition, their prices are always reasonable. The best thing about this place is their staff. It’s always nice to shop there because they really seem to know how to hire the right people. Almost always kind, helpful and best of all down to earth and laid back folks. Their business is a testament that large companies don’t have to be annoying in any way.

This place was right on the spot since the first time it opened. Trader Joe’s really tries and makes effort for following food trends - they really know how to make their food fun and interesting, making the shopping experience very engaging. Everything I ever bought here was delicious, and of course you want your food delicious and tasty! What I really like is how employees are wearing Hawaiian shirts and are extremely friendly and helpful, supporting the idea behind Trader Joe’s. When you take into consideration all of these aspects, it is no wonder that everyone likes to shop here. 

Trader Joe’s have just done an excellent job in coming up with pre-prepared food that has fresh ingredients in it, which you can’t often find at other stores. 

They make food shopping interesting, healthy, delicious and fun, and what is more important, anyone can afford it. I would say a job well done to Trader Joe’s!

Really good Trader Joe's! It seems large for a trader Joe's, but that just means more selection! Everyone is helpful and there is a decent parking lot out front. It's kind of awkward to leave the parking lot, but it's not too bad. Get the sparkling water and the Frozen cheesecake! These are seriously amazing products they offer that we all forget!
