Meh. I went to check out the "new low prices." Long story short, I still can't afford to shop at whole foods. The selection was decent, but nothing special. The Bay Area is certainly not lacking in fresh organic foods that can definitely be found for less. The store itself was nice and well maintained. The prepared foods section looked tempting, but I passed on it due to price. If you have money to burn, and live down the street, sure... shop at whole foods, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Now that Amazon has purchased Whole Foods things are changing in a good way. Bookmark the store near you for updates. There will be specials for Amazon Prime members & the food sramp credit card will be accepted as soon as their tech links in. Exciting times for people on all income levels & no longer will it be Whole Paycheck. Also many stores will have boxes for accepting Amazon packages.
