Story

Since 1991 Owner Art Rott and his crew of highly specialized auto repair technicians have been servicing the vehicles of the lakes area. Tuffy Auto Repair Walled Lake prides itself with quality parts, service and fair & honest pricing. Since our beginning we feel both fortunate and appreciative to have established so many relationships and friendships with our customers. Our technicians are ASE certified and have access to updated technical service bulletins, recalls and testing procedures to repair your vehicle properly the first time. While at the same time, not selling you items that you do not truly need. Together, with you, we have the ability to repair and maintain your vehicles as the manufacturer recommends.

Wendy and Dave were very helpful. I had a work van that needed service and when I arrived there were vehicles everywhere. I said to myself. I don't know if the work van will  be ready in time. long story short they completed the work sooner then I thought. I thought they were very professional and I have been looking for a shop that I can trust to do good work. I hope this is the one because I'm tired of looking. Thank you for your service.

If you are reading this review, you are likely searching for an honest mechanic shop that does great work.  You needn't look any further.  

I take all of my cars here, and have for the last two years.  I found them while looking for a mechanic whom I could trust, located close to my office.  I needed to have some work done to one of my cars (and I expected that the issue would cost a small fortune).  I was shocked to find out what the real issue was.  Other mechanics (and dealers) that I've worked with in the past have advised work that did not need to be done (and charged a fortune).  Not these guys.

I live 60 miles from this shop, and I do not hesitate to take my cars here.  It doesn't matter if they need a simple oil change or major repairs (and everything in between); this is the only place I'll go.

In summary: this shop does OUTSTANDING work, and you can absolutely trust whatever they say needs to be done.  Art, Wendy and the entire staff are amazing, too, and you'll feel comfortable from the time you drop your vehicle off until the time you pick it up (and drive home happy).  I would give them a thousand stars if I could.

If you need repairs of any kind, and you live within any kind of striking distance from Walled Lake,  this is the ONLY place you should go!

(Wanted to do a second review, but google won't let me. I stand by my below comment and if you want honest and decent people to work on your car, this place is it. I live decently far away, and just confirmed the drive is worth it to take it to this shop) Art and his team are all amazing people. You can tell they genuinely care about you and have your best interest in mind. I left his shop feeling thankful to have found such a great place to work on my car, I would recommend his shop to anyone.

Art, Mike, Wendy and team are always welcoming, cheerful and a pleasure to work with. In the 3 years I have visited their shop, their attitude is customer-first - every single time, consistently. Their quality of work is excellent too. I'm usually picky about the shop I use but I'd recommend this particular Tuffy to anyone without a hesitation - walk in prepare to be amazed! Thank you Wendy for staying back a few minutes late to help me pick up my car in time for my road trip!

Best auto place hands down. Great staff and service. If you have any problems with your vehicle this is the place to go affordable prices and financing available!!  How many places offer a payment plan ? 
Well these guys do. For the last three years this is the only place I go.
