I recently stayed in Tyee Lodge around the holidays, and this place is absolutely superb. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels in Europe and the finest Inns in the Far East, so what I give a place high marks, you can take that for something. It was good enough to get me to sit down and write a review. I’m often very skeptical when it comes to family run B&Bs. The rooms each blend Native American and maritime themes really nicely. The overall vistas and quiet of the location are so relaxing. From the Chinook room, you get a spectacular view of the ocean, especially in the evening and morning. The fixtures in the bathroom are very modern, sleek, and run smoothly. That’s not to say the room itself is dated. Everything was fantastic, relaxing and comfortable. The lady who runs it is awesome and very attentive to your needs, great cooking. Whether you’re trying to relax or just needed a place to stay for a night or two, this place is GREAT. I’ll be staying here whenever I go through Newport.

We loved the great room views of the rugged Oregon coastline, but just as delightful was the accommodating hospitality Dee showed us during our 3 night stay. She gladly met our last-minute, meal-altering dietary restrictions. Gave us spot on restaurant recommendations. Set up the fire pit for our lingering evening outside. The beach private access was well used, we've never seen a beach with pacific access, rolling desert-like dunes and a fresh water creek all snuggled together! We visited the nearby Yaquina Bay lighthouse and hiked around a bit. Also watched the adorable sea otter feeding at the Newport Aquarium. The room was modest and clean with Native American decor, my husband and I loved sitting next to the open window and lit fireplace reading, writing. We only wished our stay was longer, we can't wait to go back. Thanks Dee!!

This is the most beautiful and accommodating place I've been to on the coast this far. The hostess is so hospitable and makes great cookies!!! Incredible beach view (and an incredible beach). 5/5 would stay again.

We stayed at the Tyee Lodge for two beautiful days in June. Dee is an exceptional hostess who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The bed in the Chinook room was excellent and the view from that room is spectacular. We were even so lucky to see whales from the breakfast table. All in all, this is a great place to stay!
