I had a document that I needed to return to the Social Security Office in Auburn, WA. The envelope was the size of a half sheet of paper so I wasn't sure what the postage would be so I took it to my local USPS Office at Eastport Plaza. I arrived at 10 minutes after 5:00 pm and they close at 5:30 pm. When I first went in I checked the self-service kiosk in the outer lobby to see if I could ascertain what the postage would be. A woman there told me it would be 98 cents and the kiosk had a minimum charge of $1.00 so I went into wait in line with the other people there, naturally it was slow going. At 5:20 pm the lady from the front came in to ask if she could help anyone who could use a debit or credit card. I volunteered myself and she proceeded to help me through each step of using the kiosk to procure my postage by showing me the choices necessary to print my $1.00 postage. She was a very busy and efficient (and pleasant) person and I'm glad that she was willing to help me.

The Asian lady is rude, racist, and unfriendly towards Africans whether they American or from Africa. She treats other people differently specially European Americans and her people Asian. She need to deal with people equally if she like to work in public places like the post office.

This is my local post office and I have been here dozens of times, both to use self serve machine and be helped at the counter. If it is the week of a holiday, expect a wait. There's not much that can be done about that with USPS budget cuts. The service is very efficient, some employees have been there forever and know their stuff.

Always long lines, don't expect to be in and out quick if you need service at the counter. The customer service is poor, they will help you with the services you need but most of the employees are impolite.
