Best post office around by far. Staff are friendly and helpful. A vast departure from other Portland locations (cough eastport cough). Credit to the staff and the post master for fostering a positive workplace culture!

The rudeness from the clerks at this station that others have reported may have more to do with management breathing down their necks to "process" each customer as quickly as possible. I received good, courteous service here today but I did get the impression the clerk had no time for small talk, even though I was the only customer. I can only imagine they're closely monitored and their jobs are on the line if they fail to meet management's expectations, which are historically dictated by a "bottom line" vs. the customer's satisfaction.

Whenever we are expecting a package, I RUN to my door to get it. Usually I make it or if I don't they are just getting into their truck. This morning whoever our carrier was BARELY knocked. I couldn't even tell if the noise was a knock or just the cat knocking something over. But I go to the door anyway, I see no mail truck or notice of attempted delivery, when my fiance goes to check the tracking literally as he is looking at it the status changed to Delivered and says that there should be a notice, but there wasn't.. And when I try to call the post office for customer support they are closed, which means that I can't get my package until Monday. THEN I called a number for customer support for this post office to find out if there is anything I could do but this and whoever answered my call really needs to learn about customer service. I might not be so upset right now at this moment if the person who answered the phone was nicer to me but I was greeted by nothing but a nasty attitude. I couldn't hear anything so I said "hello?" a couple times and when I could finally hear the person on the other line he snapped "What?! YOU called ME." and that was just it for me. I'm upset now. So next I called a different number for USPS and have been on hold for 30 minutes now. Not thrilled by the way I get treated when I'm trying to figure thing out United States Postal Service.
