I went in to get my passport. I waited patiently in line behind someone else getting their passport, when i was called up to the window I was told I need to go to a different location to get my passport because he was the only worker there. He was the only worker there when I arrived helping the other customer with her passport. I was very confused. The postal worker was rude and said that’s just the way it is. He showed me a sign way at the other end of the counter behind a barrier that gave me some other addresses and walked off to help someone else. No apology for me waiting in line while he gave the exact service to a customer I had came in for. Very poor customer service. This is why I never use the post office for mailing my packages. Rude employees!

I do sales on-line and as a result, have shipped with every USPS in Tacoma at one time or another. This is the worst USPS in Tacoma. 1) You have to pay for parking and the meter maids are predatory here. 2) The team here is rude. Very rude. I would even call them punitive. I have had this PO return things claiming all kinds of minor reasons why they won't ship it - only to go to another local PO without changing ANYTHING and it ships. Horrible for my business or for anyone on a timeline. One redemption: LIFT BRIDGE Coffee is in the lobby with them...better yet, skip this PO and just go to the coffee shop. Yes - they are that bad.

Friendly staff. I just wish it had a self service kiosk to get things shipped on their off-hours.

Love this post office. Located in a historic downtown building, staffed by friendly and helpful folks and right next to a great coffee shop. What more could you want?

I've lived in Tacoma for about a year now,and have not had a problem with the mail service. Except the one time when I actually saw the mailman delivering the mail in my apartment building and I went to look in the mailbox and he almost ripped my freaking head off for it. But that was the only issue. Any time I've actually gone to this particular post office I've had nothing but friendly service and workers that go above and beyond to help me.More importantly the guy made me smile and laugh, i didn't even mind waiting in line for 10 mins.good job!
