My experience at Universal Health Care was exceptional. I'm a Registered Nurse have always felt Patient care was #1.

My rehabilitation after hip surgery for an infected hip prosthetic was the worst pain I ever experienced.

The RN's, CNA's, Occupational & Physical Therapists, & Dietary, we're Caring, Respectful & Genuine at all times & took my fears away with their caring hearts.

If any doubt was in your mind about this facility, set your mind at ease.

From the time I arrived until I left I felt like so special.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Universal for taking such outstanding care of my Mommy! We both love you all and even though she was only there a few weeks you made it feel like home.  As for the facility, the decor is up to date, flat screen televisions, beautiful stone fireplaces in the common areas and kept very clean, it did not smell like a nursing home. The young woman who works at the main reception area always greeted me with s smile and her warmth for the residents set the tone. Based on our experience, it gets my recommendation 😊

There are caring nurses and CNAs there. And I think the  rehabilitation  team  is great . The  entire facility  was understaffed and overworked. There is not even a hand sanitizer station outside of the rooms. They do not have a diet plan for diabetics. They only have one menu per day. When my family member became sick, which they attributed to a virus that was going around at the facility, the director of nursing refused to give my family member a bag of fluids even though he was becoming dehydrated. I finally had to insist, and they still did not give fluids. They did, however, agree to send him back to the hospital where he is spending several  days to get back to where he was when he was admitted. His sugar was high every day he was there even though the hospital had it in the normal range after day 1. The doctor only comes by once a week. Otherwise he can be contacted by director of nursing but he still does not come it's just an over the phone conversation. Because he was not receiving the nourishment he needed from the menu available he wasn't well enough most of the time to participate in Rehabilitation. My family will never be recommending this facility to anyone. If he had stayed another 24 hours we are convinced he would be dead now. Unfortunately, I am not exaggerating!

I believe that the techs and nurses try so hard, they are short staffed and the staff is overworked. I have two parents there. The food needs to be stepped up immensely it is plain horrible.  It is clean safe and doesn't smell.  Its is nicely decorated.

My Mom entered Universal Health Care this week for hip replacement rehabilitation.  Mom was very nervous at first about the transition from the hospital to rehab but the   beautiful new facility, caring, and knowledgeable staff soon made her feel comfortable and welcomed.  Overall the experience for my Mom and our family has been outstanding and feel the time she will spend at this facility for rehabilitation will promote the best healing opportunity she could receive in the area.
