Got there at 9am for a 930am appointment. Filled out the introductory paperwork, was immediately called back to see the doctor, had a biopsy done, and was out of the office at 927am. Highly efficient!

I have been an established patient at this clinic for 10 years. I was just told that their appointment calendar was frozen for the next two months and that I cannot make an appointment a this time. They are never able to schedule an appointment 6 months out so I have to remember to call a couple of months in advance to get my appointment. I had to explain that I needed an appointment and that I have several areas of concern that needed to be looked at. Since I have had 9 skin cancers over the years, I expected that they would take me seriously and schedule me but was told that I couldn't get anything for at least two months or until the calendar was "unfrozen" whatever that means. After explaining that I had possible cancers that needed examining, I finally got an appointment 10/27 due to a cancellation. I was told to keep calling to find out when the calendar will open up so that I might get something sooner. I've never had this experience at the UNM Derm clinic before as they are usually very responsible and professional. The care I receive there has always been exceptional but appointment making is more difficult than it should be.

Haven't even gone in yet and tried to call to reschedule my appointment. I know that I called at the last minute but the weather affects my breathing, so I could not make it in and they acted like I murdered someone because I had to re schedule. :(

I have always received good care. Clinicians are friendly and respectful. It does take a long time to get a first-appointment. However, repeats for further treatments do occur in a timely manner.

First appt was in the afternoon; waited over one hour in the lobby and then another 30 mins or so in the doctor's office. When I scheduled the follow-up appt, I asked for the very first appt of the day, thinking no wait.....wrong. Another wait of about 45 mins before being ushered in. I saw a new doctor who was very flippant. I do not need a lot of "care and feeding", but I do expect a degree of civility, and this doctor did not display any. I will not return to the clinic and have already sought services elsewhere.
