I absolutely LOVED everything about the inn. If you just want to get away and relax Upper Canyon is the place to go. It is very close to downtown and the scenery is so beautiful. The reason as to why I’m posting this with a one star is because of the “check in, receptionist” man are they RUDE makes you not want to go back just so you won’t have to deal with them and their attitude.

Very nice room with cabin style decor. There were two recliners and a queen size bed as well as a Jacuzzi tub and tv. The bathroom had a bath and shower plus a sink and toilet that functioned well. There is a coffee maker and small refrigerator too.

By far the best vacation rental company in Rudiso. We come every year from the Keys we love them so much . Staff goes out of the way to make sure you are happy.

We've stayed in this exact same room two times a year and a half apart and must say I do love staying here. The bad part is, even with searching beforehand to see if anything was going on this weekend in Ruidoso there ends up being a bike rally and we have to hear extremely loud obnoxious motorcycles going up and down the canyon all day. Some of these guys are almost hitting deer because they're trying to impress the people sitting out front drinking a beer next to the river. Pretty sad. The cabins and Lodge are beautiful as usual, but you can see some of the maintenance has been left off on. In room number 5 there is a water leak behind the wall of the shower that we reported, and it looks like it's been that way for some time. Can't open the closet all the way as you couldn't a year-and-a-half ago, and there are these knots or something sitting underneath the carpet multiple places now, almost feels like supports from the bottom floor are pushing through. The place is clean but there seems to be a lot of things caught up in the carpet that really need to get pulled out. Hopefully it's just a minor thing and they'll be cleaned up when we come back again in the future but I may look for a place a little further away from the road in case there happens to be another biker rally. The lights out in front of the rooms are switched over to LED so they rarely if ever need to be changed out, but that just shows how often maintenance happens. The one for our room is filled with some sort of material, either from Bugs or something else I don't want to think about. Hold the hangers in the closet are mismatched cheap wire hangers from a dry cleaner that somebody left here or plastic ones that you threw out when you got your first house. The closet is self looks like somebody tore all the walls apart and replace them with cardboard on the inside, but the rest of it looks fine. Room was pretty hot and stuffy when we got there because of course the air-conditioning was off as you would expect, but while walking past the fireplace it was actually putting off heat. The pilot light seems to be a little too peppy and is partially heating the room. In September. Definitely come and check the place out, but just remember no place is completely perfect.
