We lived on Holloman for 6 yrs. In the past. We have visited 4 times since 1983. Always well received & always polite personal, willing to help us anytime. Spent 10 days here, Feb. 7-Feb 16.thoroughly enjoyed our stay in temporary lodging. Hope to return for another vacation.

I gave 2 stars because the rooms were decent and the staff was friendly. However, whoever designed the layout of the adjacent buildings was not thinking. The room I stayed in was about 1/2 a mile away from the reception building, and then the parking lot made it another 200m walk to the building, part of it across rocks. Then I had to walk my luggage up to the 3rd story because there was no elevator. To cap off the night, my room was 75° and there was no A/C. I guess you can ignore basic hotel design logic when people have to stay there if there is availability.

Decent billeting room, like a suite really. In a quiet corner of the base near the (great) gym. Really nice and polite staff. Tiny, narrow latrines in the room. No problems with bugs mice or flushing. Bath tub needs the hairball yanked, but being a retired hippie with long hair myself, wasn't anything I couldn't handle. For 60 a night, it's a secure place to stay. I don't worry about some punk breaking into my vehicle, and it's unusually quiet for a flying base, at night. Have stayed here 5 times in as many years. Always treated with courtesy and respect at the desk. Thanks Team Holloman.

Absolutely the worst Air Force Inn I have ever stayed at. In my five month stay I went through several rooms, and have seen 7 rooms in 5 different buildings including my coworker's rooms. 1. Every single room had MOLD EVERYWHERE. I'm not talking a little bit in vents or the bathroom, I mean black mold seeped into the drywall, and vents so thick with mold and dust I'm surprised air got through. Even the recently renovated buildings had mold. TLFs seemed the least affected, but the air quality was still bad. 2. Bugs. I had so many flies and cockroaches in my room that I was replacing fly paper weekly. My room even came with a flyswatter on the bathroom counter - how considerate! 3. Cleanliness. Not that I used them, but the "free" soaps and shampoos were open and half empty in two of the rooms I checked into. Every room had dirty floors and dust on everything but large tabletop surfaces. I bought my own cleaning supplies just because it was obvious deep cleaning hadn't been done in a really long time. Other older Air Force Inns I have stayed at have had none of these problems even though the nightly cost is the same. I have no issues with stuff being dated, but it seems like the Holloman Inn just invests in putting a modern facade on their facilities without investing at all in health or cleanliness. Finally, the staff I interacted with were all great, and seemed to feel bad about the state of the place as well.

It's holloman so all the rough things about holloman will be at the holloman inn. Internet sucks, water taste bad, and bring gallons of lotion. But staff is nice. Walking distance from pool, track, gym, and the little club. I'd stay again over off base
