Spruce Cabins is located in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, right behind the Chamber of commerce, in the Lincoln National Forest. When you visit our cabins, you'll find yourself within walking distance of shopping, skating pavilion, hiking trails and tennis courts. We have been in Cloudcroft for over 50 years. Our altitude is 9000 enchanting feet! Enjoy browsing our site to see the cabins we have to offer. You can also check availability and make reservations. This was a wonderful place to stay, very clean and charming. It's warm, the beds were so comfortable, quiet, quiet, quiet. The people at the front desk were courteous, pleasant, and they stand by their word. Will definitely be back.

Cozy & friendly. The kitchen was great, bathroom recently remodeled and beautiful. Walk to everywhere! Thank you Spruce Cabins. We came back from out long weekend relaxed and rested.

Too expensive. Our cabin was horrible. There were spiders everywhere - in the kitchen cupboards and in the bed. The poor excuse for a sleeper sofa was the most uncomfortable I've ever encountered. We have rented from them for years and have always enjoyed our stay. I don't know if they changed ownership or what happened. This time it was absolutely horrible and the staff which has always been very friendly was not very friendly this time. We will never go back. In fact, we went and found another cabin immediately after our terrible experience. This cabin was not worth the expensive fee we paid for our 5 day stay.

I have stayed at Spruce Cabins many times over the past few years and have had nothing but great times there. The cabin is always clean and well stocked, firewood right outside your door, a friendly staff and they have always welcomed my dog. But I called last week to book a cabin for one night in the middle of the week. My wife and I like going on a Wednesday and Thursday to avoid the weekend crowds. The girl said there was no way they would book just one night because it is their busy season. Well school is in and it was the middle of the week and summer is over. The leaves are not turning and there are no festivals going on. I didn't understand. She said to call back the following week on Wednesday to see if they had booked the cabin and if not maybe they could accommodate us. I called on Monday and talked to a different person to see if cabin 15 would be available and she flat out said no. The owner Terri has always been so nice but I guess she would rather have it empty than rent it for 1 night. Needless to say we were disappointed since we have stayed there so many times in the past. I have recommended them to literally dozens of people in El Paso. I guess I will have to think twice before trying to book with them again. It's sad when you are loyal to a place of business and they turn around and slap you in the face.
