This is a review I should have left a long time ago Ione a business in diker heights and occasionally have to use USPS.. No I know most If I'm people use USPS they are not good experiences. But there is one employee that stands out every time they help me His name is Brian he is a truck driver for USPS for the local deliveries and he is an absolute fantastic employee and an asset to the community. Brian goes above and beyond to make sure my packages get delivered on time with care and shows genuine concern if there's any problems. The old the only reason that I like to use USPS is because of Bryan and other employees like Brian who I deal with on occasion from this Post Office
When ever my usual postal provider is off or on vacation my mail is sent elsewhere. When you go to the post office to complain they do basically nothing! Not a very professional environment and rude workers.
Couldn't be worse. An example of the most incompetent, lazy Gov't workers. Did I mention ill-mannered. If you can avoid this Postal Station, do. The station on 5th Av and 87th St is much, much better. Better still try a Manhattan office.
I've only ever send packages here so I don't know about the other stuff, but at least regarding that part of the job, they do pretty well. They'll always scan my packages right away and give me receipts. My packages also always get delivered the same day as long as I send it by the afternoon. In terms to customer service...it's America. As long as they get things done, it's good enough for me.
NOW I SEE AND UNDERSTOOD WHY MOST OF USPS LOCATIONS HAS 2 stars i wish there was option to give 0.000 star review Very veeeery poor service, why people working there are so angry and never care about providing proper service & answers to costumers who are plaining to have frequent business with the USPS!!? If you don’t want serve people for the service you are getting paid for then just don’t work for usps!!
Brian the driver of the USPS truck in Dyker heights is amazing. He goes above and beyond to be extremely helpful. He's always on time and he's just a pleasure to deal with. This post office needs more hard workers like Brian .
When I dropped off my boxes that were prepaid through Ebay's USPS system the people at this Post Office REFUSED to scan my shipping labels simply because I paid online. What this does is make it IMPOSSIBLE to tracking packages. As Murphy's Law would have have it, one of my shipments was lost and I could not prove to my customer that I had even handed their merchandise for shipment to USPS. NEVER, I repeat NEVER give your boxes to the Post Office if they refuse to scan the prepaid label. To conclude, I give the Dyker Height's Post Office the lowest of all ratings for their REFUSAL to scan packages. Thus, THIS POST OFFICE SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY SHUTTERED.
I am surprised to say i had a very pleasant experience at this usps. I believe it is rare to have a good experience... or very hard, one needs to be lucky. So anyways, i went in for a simple 1st class priority mail shipping. No line. No wait. Everything in stock fancy envelopes that are marked for usps needs I was in and out; before walking in i had expectations of usual nightmare usps to wait in line for 30 minutes plus. This was a complete opposite experience. Honestly it was so pleasant... the last thing i expected was to be writing a positive review or a review for a mailing service haha All standart stuff inside. Old school, beat up brooklyn usps, but everything else today was excellent! No parking. But just half a block away up the hill, beautiful houses and parking. Solved. Surprisingly super positive experience.
I deal with this post office for over 20 years and I can honestly say….this is the best Post Office in this part of Brooklyn…the workers actually care….and how about you speak to some of the workers with a little respect and not talk down on them….kindness is a 2 way street! -Aldo Nicoletti Nicoletti Coffee
Package never be delivered. They never run my doorbell before leaving me the notice. I resechudeled the delivery and left them the note by my mailbox to call me if necessary. Nothing helps and it still ends up I have to pick it up by myself. Some officers are nice when you talk with them on phone, while some couldn't just add more trouble to your situation.
