Today, 12/15/2015, I was #11 standing in line, And there were 6 people behind me when I looked around. There was 1 older gentleman working behind the counter for the first few minute's that I was in line, and than another clerk, heavy set, dark haired man came in behind the counter and waited on the next person in line, when he was finished, he walked back into the mail room, grabbed a liter of half drank Pepsi, and disappeared. About that time another clerk came in, a dark skinned older lady, very nice personality that I picked up on, and she started waiting on the rest of the people in line. I would say the time was approximately around 11am. Now I'm aware that there is such a thing as a break, but when you have that many people in line, wouldn't you stay and help your fellow clerks out? The clerk that disappeared, waited on 1 person, he came in, and than was gone. I was highly disappointed and wonder why his co workers didn't speak up! They were overwhelmed I'm sure, it's the holidays, and with so many unemployed, you'd think that with the heavy load of cards and packages being mailed this time of year, the USPS would either hire some of the unemployed to keep things moving, or bring in more employees to handle the load. The clerk who decided to go drink his Pepsi showed no remorse to those standing in line, and on another serious note, you have handicapped spaces for the handicapped, but yet once inside they have to STAND in line the same as the rest that aren't handicapped, what sense does that make, I saw at least 3 people who had a visal handicap of some kind or another, I myself have cervical spine issue's, it's very painful waiting for your turn, so ...... why have handicapped spaces if you can't accommodate those with handicaps, once they get inside? Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope to see something done for the handicapped especially during this time of the year! And hiring people who have common sense during heavy periods of mail being sent !
