This is my local post office. I find all the employees to be great. They are patient, don't get frazzled and are very helpful to the customers. Always seem willing to go the extra distance. I send a lot of packages, so I print my own postage and get things done before I go, but many times I have seen employees walking through people who are unfamiliar with what to do, and being polite and nice about it. Same employees for years which speaks volumes. I REALLY like my mail delivery lady, too!

Sent package to an aunt there in Sanford yesterday which my nephew accidently mailed one number off, i have tried this post office now for 6 hours, they don't answer and then the phone disconnects, let's save them some money and cut their phone off, no help at all.

MARK GILL, you're a foo! The final sentence in you paragraph confirms my observation. I don't want the hard workers of 401 E 1ST, Post Office to think I'm insulting them, no, that's far from the truth. All of you I've had the privilege of meeting over the last 9 years have left me feeling a better when I walk out the door than when I came in. MARK GILL's a fool, though, to the hilt.

Their mail carries get lazy and will just drive past your house unless you run out, stop them and ask for your mail. They've done it MULTIPLE times!

I deal with this post office every business day. The employees care, are easy to get along with, and provide consistently solid service. The overall USPS, if there were a way to give reviews, would get a 1 star or less if possible, as we are an online sales business and 3% of economy mail is lost, and 1% of metered flats are lost. Conequently, first class and priority mail is nearlly perfect. Amazing the difference that accountability coerced by tracking makes. This is a horrible company, but this local office makes one aware that socialism hasn't brought down every aspect of the post office.
