I recently had surgery on my lower back by David M. Smith, MD because of my many years of hard heavy work. The surgery turned out beyond my expectations. Dr. Smith has the advantage of knowing the new procedures as well as tapping on the broad experience of the other neurosurgeons at the clinic. I originally wanted to see one of the doctors who had been at the clinic for many years, but I was so very surprised and satisfied with the results I received from Dr, Smith. Be assured that you are in the best hands in Utah at Utah Neurological Clinic. Note: this is expensive business, especially on the hospital end, but how can you put a price on relieving the pain you have had for many years? I prayed for 40 years for my back pain to go away, and Dr. Smith took care of it in a few hours.

I cannot recommend this office to anyone. One of my friends recommends on of the Dr's here, but after the hell I have gone through to even try to get an appointment, I cannot recomend. I went in to the office because after my doctor called over to get a surgery scheduled, it took them days to even call us back to setup an appointment. Due to some issues, an appointment was not made during that callback and when we called them back the same day, less then 30 minutes later, no one answered the phone. We left a message and they never called back. It was only after almost two weeks gone by and my wife leaving a pissed off sounding message that they called back but only to leave us a vm and what lead me to go into the office to try to get an appointment scheduled. While in the office it still took some time to finally talk the the Dr's scheduler and she told me they were not going to schedule an appointment for me. This was due to the information my insurance may be changing. She did not even give me the opportunity to set up the appointment and if it did change I could cancel said appointment. This is not the first time this office has left me with a bad taste. This does not mean the doctors are bad, but the office staff really needs to be reworked because they are truly awful.

Have spent a week playing phone tag between doctors offices in order to get a referral submitted from one doctor to the other. Can't seem to get anyone at The Neurological clinic who is interested in taking the initiative and helping to facilitate the referral of a a new patient and seeing that they are seen in a timely manner.

The staff here seem very over whelmed and can not get what they need done. I have been waiting for a response from the Dr. For 5 days and still nothing as I am out of work and struggling to get a resolution to anything.

Doctors are knowledgeable and helpful but it took 3 days for them to send a referral for me and so I had to wait over a week to get my procedure
