I order furniture from this location on 2/19/18 I was promised to have at least one of the pieces that Thursday from the Portsmouth location. My husband goes to that location on that Thursday no furniture. The associate at the Portsmouth location was very polite and decided to switch or furniture pick up to delivery since we went through the trouble to pick up furniture that was not there. The furniture had to be delivered from the warehouse to the Newport News location on 03/14/18 almost a whole month later. I received an email to confirm my delivery which I did confirm and guess what I called on 03/14/18 to see what time my furniture was going to be delivered and they tell me my delivery was cancel because it was not confirmed!! I told them it was confirmed through the email that was sent and basically they told me they need voice confirmation which was not stated to us or through the email. It has been almost a month and now I still have to wait.. my number has changed and to change my number I had to call the greenbrier store to change that so I can verbally confirm my delivery smh... I will never ever order anything from value city again! It was all bad from the time I ordered my furniture till now still not receiving my furniture!!!

David at the Virginia Beach store was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions without hesitation.  It was a pleasure working with him on our purchase.

This would be 5 stars if the wait wasn’t so long.  Gladys was so sweet and wonderful. I was with family and they were talking all over me. Gladys actually pointed them off and talked to me about what I wanted. It was so much better than any experience I’ve had at any store. 

I recently paid off everything and plan on buying more later down the road.

I have purchased furniture from this location 3 times in the last 3 years. The first time, sales, service and delivery...everything was great. The second time I purchased bedding and was satisfied until I was told they couldn't deliver it until several days past when I  needed it. Customer service was not helpful at all. I cancelled the order.  A week ago, I ordered furniture again with delivery scheduled for 10/13. The saleswoman was wonderful and I had no problems until called today to confirm delivery and I was told it was scheduled for pickup on 10/12. Then, I was told that it would be delivered,  but not until 11/9. I'm not desperate this time, so I can wait. Customer service was curt and unpleasant to deal with (bordering on rude) and I still don't understand the reason for the delay. I  hope there will be no further problems. The quality of the furniture I have gotten from them has been good. Sales staff has been helpful. Prices have been good. But customer service at this store is a problem for me and makes me wonder if I will make further purchases from them in the future.
