I went to Van Subaru to trade in my 2016 Ford Escape that I was paying entirely to much for John Gillock was my sales representative that I had and let me tell you I put him to the test. Not only did I have a list of things I wanted, price range, special features, I also had my 18 month old with me. Not only did he meet my needs with my car request giving me a great trade in-value and the best possible deal on my 2018 Subaru Impreza and walked me through step by step, he helped TREMENDOUSLY with my son. They had a great train set to keep him entertained, they let him sit in the vehicles, had snacks readily available. The staff went above and beyond to help me through my car buying process! Highly recommended them! They will forever have my business!

First, the positives of the Van Subaru is that they've always had a friendly demeanor and were usually pretty timely in getting information. That side of things is fine. However, their level of skill and pricing for their auto work is dubious at best. You know most any dealer is going to be higher priced, but there are three instances I experienced that went above and beyond and turned me off from ever going here again. 1) I had some oil pressure regulator thing fail and there was oil leakage occurring. They fixed that for an okay price but said that the engine gaskets were also leaking. This is actually a common problem for Subaru in my model year and at that mileage. The estimate was in the mid $2000s for the work. However, I took it to my father-in-law, a mechanic, and he actually cleaned up the bottom of the car and took a further look and didn't find any leaks. A year later, still no leaks. So, in other words, the Van Subaru mechanics didn't take a deeper look and wanted to do a repair that would cost over $2,000. 2) My check engine light was on and I was having some shuddering and stuttering when starting and running my car. I took it to Van and waited over five hours and they said they still hadn't figured out the problem, but had checked out the electronics in the front of the car. I had to leave with the problem unresolved (with the idea to have to bring it back later). I decided to try a local mechanic and they diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes (chewed wires, likely by a squirrel or mice). How did the Van Subaru mechanics not notice at least six chewed wired while checking the electronics? 3) My door handle broke off. Van Subaru said the latching system inside the door was broken and the total estimate was over $400. I thought this suspicious since I could still turn the handle and open the door if I put something in there like a screwdriver to get leverage. If the latching system was broken, how was that possible? I bought a $25 door handle replacement and spent about a half hour replacing it after viewing a Youtube video on how to do so. The latching system was fine. So, if I had listened to Van Subaru, I would have spent thousands of dollars more and wasted a lot more time than I did. That is the bottom line and is why a customer friendly front is not worth much if their mechanics are either shady or of low skill. My next car was a Honda, partly because of my experiences with Van.

Very positive experience, no pressure of any kind experienced when visited this location. I’ll definitely consider it in the future.

I've purchsed two new vehicles from here and I feel that they're honest and fair when dealing with customers. Do your research before coming in and you'll walk out feeling like you were treated fairly.
