This place is a joke! We were referred to this place because our local vet wasn't sure what was wrong with our 3 yr old chocolate lab. They come up with a huge list of expenses to show you. "The plan for treatment" which you have to pay up front. They did nothing more than my local vet did. Most of the tests on the plan weren't preformed at all but yes we were still charged for them. AND SHE didn't survive. Probably because they didn't even evaluate her because they didn't even know she was female after having her overnight! 😡😡 The internal "specialist kept referring to her as him and he. IF you checked out my dog like you were supposed to don't you think you'd know she was a female?! So $2400 later we brought home our baby to bury. They prey on the love you have for your pet and make sure they ask you how much you're willing to spend to save them. DO NOT PUT YOUR PETS LIFE IN THEIR HANDS!!!!

Our cat had an asthma type of attack, so we brought him here for proper care and medicine. He was diagnosed with a respiratory type of infection. However, this institution misprescribes medications. We were provided an antibiotic to give 1ml twice daily for 10 days which would equal to 20ml. The bottle that they gave us was only 15ml. We noticed the discrepancy but waited to see if the 15ml was sufficient. Our cat seemed to have gotten better but a couple of weeks later he started sneezing again, so we called VCA and requested more antibiotic since they didn't provide enough the first time around. They refused stating that it has been too long since his last check up from 3 weeks ago. Instead of owning up to their mistake they are requesting that I pay more money for what he was already diagnosed with. This incident will be reported and their customer service is terrible.

My dogs primary vet recommended VCA when they couldn't see my dog due to shorter weekend hours. The staff were all very nice and Dr. Beauchamp was able to diagnose my dog quickly and ease my worries. He also called the next day and checked on how my dog was doing, which was incredibly thoughtful. They aren't too terribly pricey (base fee is 137) and they do offer a military discount. I also thought that it was very considerate for the tech to inform me that I could get one of the prescriptions much cheaper at a CVS, as opposed to their more expensive kind. In my experience, most will not do that. I'm so glad my primary vet recommend them!

Our dog passed away from cancer a little over a year ago. It was extremely sudden and very fast - several days. The hospital staff were wonderful and very compassionate during our multiple visits in these several days. We were seen by several doctors, unfortunately, can't remember the names right now. When they finally did a biopsy and diagnosed cancer, they even brought the microscope to the patient's area upon my husband's request to look at the histology slides himself, so that he could reconfirm (he is an MD). We had to put her to sleep, she was in an awful shape; we were treated with tactfulness and care. The only disappointing moment was when we were hoping it was an inflammatory process going on, and she was prescribed an anti-inflammatory medication. However, she suddenly started to though up all food and liquid, and we couldn't give her the pills. And we couldn't keep taking her to the hospital and back because she was in bad pain. So I asked them to just give us the injectable medication, so that we could give her injections at home, as she couldn't hold anything in her stomach. The answer was 'no'; if you can't give her a pill, come to the hospital for injection. My husband and I are both experienced with this, and after all, my husband is MD - as we kept telling them. However, nothing helped, they didn't let us administer the injection. It was a major problem at that time, as we hoped so much that the medication would help! Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated very quickly, so we didn't have much time. But what if someone does have a case like this, when pills cannot be administered, and transportation is impossible - why can't owners just be allowed to make injections themselves - it's an unreasonable policy. Other than this, the hospital staff treated us professionally and kindly, so I would go to there again in case of emergency.

My pet Jeremy had to have emergency surgery due to a kidney stone lodged in the urethra. Service was excellent, Dr. Kidder and staff was excellent. I received updates before and after surgery. I received a 1 day postop call to followup after the surgery. I work in a trauma center so I was impressed with the cleanliness of this facility. Also, I was impressed with the surgical site. Beautiful work performed by the surgeons. So far no complications. Karen 4/14/2017
