Story

In 1967, John Bogosian founded Visual Sound Inc., as the professional audiovisual division of The Camera Shop Inc. The Camera Shop Inc.’s strength in the photo retail market initially helped launch Visual Sound as a key player in the Audio Visual rental and sales industry. Over the years, Visual Sound gained prominence and acclaim in the Audio Visual industry as a total provider of audio visual solutions to the education, business, house of worship and government markets.

The Camera Shop Inc. was sold to Ritz Camera in 1999. John Bogosian, the founder of both companies, opted to retain Visual Sound and focus his energy and vision into developing the audio visual solutions company into the recognized leader in the mid- Atlantic region.

In January 2005, John Bogosian turned the reins over to his daughter Karen Bogosian, who is now CEO. Karen Bogosian, who has served with distinction as director of marketing The Camera Shop Inc. / Visual Sound, Inc., and regional sales manager for Ritz Camera, brings with her over 25 years of experience in the retail photo and audio visual industries. Her expertise in marketing, special events, promotions, sales, and media strategies will enable her to elevate Visual Sound to the next level.
