ZERO STARS.
Brought my ticket, arrived super early and when the bus arrived, staff did not let me on, claiming that it was not my bus and the bus that I am waiting for is the next bus. He assured me, even yelling at me, that this was not my bus and that I have to wait. So I continued waiting. When this bus left and the next one came, they claimed that the bus that left was my bus and that it was my fault that I missed the bus. They claimed to do a final call announcing the city I was going to, but I stood by the bus stop the whole time, next to the staff member, and not once did the staff do a "final call." Another family was left behind too that was told they were boarding the wrong bus... and it was not the wrong bus... The staff then lied about ever talking to me but then when a witness spoke up, he finally remembered and said that there is nothing he can do, trying to blame the fault on me. Staff member cursed me out for trying to ask him why he would not let me board the bus. I was left with no way to my destination, and had to spend a fortune on last minute arrangements. When contacting customer service, they refused to give me a refund because "refunds go against their policy." All this company cares about is taking your money, not providing their business. NEVER AGAIN. Terrible service.

Horrible experience. I had made reservation for front upper decker seat #4 paying extra charges. Once we got in line. The moron driver announced to first let in #1-6 seat reserved people. I told driver my seat is #4 so  let me go first, driver did not listened instead sent me all the way back in line as he thought I was getting in line. Great! When my turn came to board I showed my booking number and surprisingly he told me your seat #4 is already been taken by someone else so I can't allow you in! I was like What! How can that be possible. He set me aside and made me to wait in -15 degree wind chill until all of the passengers boarded. That moron driver then made me seat in any unreserved seat. That was fine with me then i thought will i get my extra money back that I paid for reserving seat. When bus started on many attempts I again went to a lady assistant driver to check again with driver as I can clearly see #4 was unoccupied. She came and told me that the stupid driver thought you have booked #3 seat so you may take your seat now. Are you f***** kidding me! I mean that nutcase driver don't even listen to what I was saying and in the end does the same exact thing by completely messing around with the passenger with his almighty stupidity. Useless people. Horrible experience. Never again!

Worst people worst bus service. I have a booking from Mega bus stop Chicago to Cincinnati. I reached there on time and the bus conductor didn’t allowed me in as I had 2 bags. I said I am ready to pay extra amount but she was such an idiot that she said book online. I called the mega bus to book one more luggage on my ticket but they said it can’t be done. In -10 degree C weather that conductor left me without any regret. I requested her 100 times in 5 minutes. 

Finally I called mega bus to complaint about this rude behavior but they said no refund and no complaints can be registered. Now I am waiting on greyhound bus station for greahound bus. They are much better and good bus service. 

Recommendation: Never book your ticket from Chicago bus stop through mega bus. They don’t even have shade area to sit and wait. Also there behavior is so bad that you will regret what have you done. I hate mega bus I ll never ever book another ticket through mega bus and recommend others too not to trust these people. They should be send to jail.

We travel from Cleveland, which has a decent Megabus station, to Chicago often.  The Chicago bus stop location is a disgrace. The area feels unsafe, there is no nearby public transportation (the Clinton loop stop is dirty and dangerous), and downtown is a good 20 minute hike away.  Chicago needs to do better.

MegaBus has went downhill within the years. And they are not that cheap. The staff (not all but a lot) can come off as rude. In Chicago they don't have a station .We are just left there having to wait for another bus. In my case from Lincoln Nebraska to Memphis Tennessee I have to wait over 11 hours overnight in Chicago to get my next bus ride. (Lincoln gets to Chicago at 9:00pm the bus from Chicago to Memphis has already left an hour earlier at 8:00pm. So I have to wait till 8:45am. Its horrible). It would be a little better if there was a station. I would advise Greyhound any day.
