They moved the bus stop ridiculously far! It is no longer on Canal & Van Buren but now on Clinton & Polk. Last time ever taking them! Missed my connection even though I was 2 hours early. Not one person knew where the "NEW" bus stop was. Not even the police! Inconvenient doesn't even begin to describe it! The new stop is past the post office, past the Cta station, past the Amtrak station...I mean how does this even begin to make this convenient for people, especially those with disabilities?

I'm only giving this one star because the ride to my destination was so smooth. However, my return trip was far from smooth. I was leaving Madison, Wisconsin on the earliest bus to head back to the Twin Cities (I needed to get back in the early afternoon, as I had to drive back to where I actually live and had multiple appointments to get to). The bus was supposed to leave at 9:45 A.M., and by 10:05, still hadn't shown up yet. I decided to check my trip status, and it said that it was delayed almost an hour and a half with no explanation. This was extremely frustrating, as there was no explanation provided, and my time was now ridiculously increased. As it got closer to 11:10 (the time the bus was supposed to arrive), the time kept getting pushed later and later, until it finally arrived. No explanation, no apologies, and our driver threw our items in the luggage carrier with little consideration for whether we had anything valuable in our bags. Can safely say that this is the WORST public transportation experience I've ever had, and will take my business to Greyhound or Jefferson Lines next time. Terrible.

I really enjoy the value of the service, the ability to reserve specific seats, and the positive experiences I've had with the drivers and passengers on the bus. I have one major complaint though. For some reason on both legs of this trip between Dallas and Chicago, the temperature on the bus has either been way too cold or way too hot. When asking the bus driver about adjusting it they say they have to "override the system" and that doing so can get them fired. If this is really the policy and not just the driver lying because they don't want to adjust it, this is a glaringly flawed policy. If people on the bus are uncomfortable the bus driver should always have the power to fix it. The trip into Chicago was so cold that my traveling partner had to buy a hat and gloves at a rest stop to be able to sleep, and I was so cold I thought surely I was going to get sick. The trip I'm currently on is the opposite. It's uncomfortably hot and no air is circulating. There's no reason for this to be out of control of the person who is operating the vehicle. This seriously cost the review 2 whole stars because being made comfortable on an 22 hour trip is almost the entire purpose of a company like Megabus and if they can't adjust the temperature at the request of the passengers they are partially failing in that task.

For a Megabus stop it's pretty pleasant since it's close enough to Union Station for you to pop in and use the facilities. It was really convenient being able to head indoors to use the washrooms and to stock up on water/snacks from the vending machines. I've never had to wait for the bus in cold weather or rain luckily or it wouldn't have been as nice seeing as the stop had no shelter to protect from the elements.

Cheap tickets, nice busses, limited routes. I may have had to wait a couple hours for the bus due to a breakdown, but the ride was pleasant and boarding is simple and way less stressful than Jefferson lines. All you need is your ticket number. I always plan to use mega bus more, but haven't been organized enough to reserve the super cheap first tickets. Double Decker baby!
