Wakota Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative located in South St. Paul, MN. With over 5500 Shared Branches Worldwide available free of charge for deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and check cashing. We offer all the products and services a large bank has to offer, Wakota provides much more because we are member-owned, profits are returned to members in the form of higher savings dividends and lower loan rates. My experience with Wakota, unfortunately, was not very good. They often do not return calls or call back several days after they say they will. Programs like mobile deposit can take months to set up. And, when i was finally "eligible" for that service, it took almost a week and multiple calls to them for it to get set up. They also do not have 24/7 customer service. So, if you find yourself in a restaurant after hours, and your card is being declined, even though you have plenty of money in your account, you will not reach anyone to work it out. I would not recommend.

Greatest bank EVER!!! Aways a smile and a how are you, without the fake smile. Every body that works there must love there job.
That's a place I want to bank at!! Fast and not overly curtious.

Best banking experiences I have ever encountered in my entire life. Been a member for about 5 years now and I have never had a negative experience. I would recommend them over and over again and have sent many people there for loans and simple banking and never heard one gripe. I give them 6 stars out of 5. Lowell, Amanda, Kelly and team always go above and beyond. Thanks for the great service!

I was turned down for a car loan at my former bank that I had been with for years.  I desperately  needed a car.  I remembered a credit union and took my chances.  In 45 minutes I had my loan and a new bank.  That was 28 years ago!  Thanks Wakota!!

This is a BS credit union. I did an address change on my daughters savings account,for a $5.00 charge on a minors account and they NEVER changed the address BUT charged the account $5.00.
