Displaced from Florida During hurricane Irma. These are the best people ever. Discounted rates, held the spot without a deposit. We left Florida in our RV not knowing what we'd find. We we're blessed to have found Walnut Creek Campground. Very gracious and compassion for all 150+ evacs. They treated us like family. The campground is clean and quiet. Loved it!

Awesome owners. Very good people. Drove here from Okeechobee Fl to get away from Irma they were full but made room for us anyway.

I saw first-hand the efforts and ordeals of the owner/manager of this excellent park during the stressful influx of evacuating florida residents.

There were many who were cooperative with his situation, cutting his rates, giving folks a break, and taking nearly constant phone calls from 8 am daily through 12 pm each evening.

Unfortunately, at least one, and possibly a few called, demanded a reservation confirmation, and then rudely didn't call or show up on the day they specified, but had the audacity to demand a refund in full.   One even failed to call on the day of reservation, called the next day, to postpone a day, and then called to say she changed her mind and demanded a full refund.

I donated over 30 hours working with the owner, and assisting his workers on their tasks around the park during this stressful week of Hurricane Irma.
    I did this, not because he asked, nor because anyone suggested I would be paid for my time, but because I thought this might help relieve some of his stress and alleviate some customer uncertainties.

I will return to this park in the future.

The most hospitable place I have ever been. I am a full timer and have never been respected like I was here! My hat's off to the management and crew.
