I've been a Webster bank customer since I was 16 years old and I am 24 years old now. I've never had an issue with them up until I visited this branch. I've always had direct deposit in all of my jobs and Webster bank has given me all the materials necessary to get direct deposit with out any issues. Now, this branch has one "supervisor" who is very rude and came off as snotty. I went in and ask her if there's a way I can get a Bank voided check for my job to get direct deposit and she asked if I had a check book I said no, I never used any checks. She said she would have to order me checks in order to receive a voided check. I explained it to her that I've done this many times and the tellers always gave me the check. She then said "well I gave you your options so its up to you". I could not believe how she responded as a supervisor of a very professional environment. I walked away and called my employer and asked him if my deposit slip would be good enough he said no they should not give you a hard time the only thing they might do is charge you I said that's fine. I then went back in and was attended by another teller who goes by the name of Vincent who by the way is very pleasant and professional. He asked her what should he do because I wanted a check. She said I told her I already what are her options she was very rude so until she fixes her attitudes I'm not speaking with her. He then wrote me a letter stating the information that I needed and he said I should be fine with that. I also requested to speak with the manager of the branch at that time. As I was still being attended by the teller I hear her telling the manager what had happened clearly loud enough that I can hear like if I wasn't even in the room. I waited for the manager to speak with her and she was taking her sweet time so I just left. I'm now on here writing here because the manager couldn't take 5minutes out her precious time to hear how her supervisor had acted. Being a customer for 8 years I am now switching banks because of the unprofessionalism at this branch! And my mother who's been a customer for many more years than I , will be switching as well. Thanks to the "great" customer service at this branch!
