Tried to cash a fairly small check from my employer written from a Wells Fargo account and could not get it done. I had two forms of I.D. and a good check from one of their accounts right in front of them yet the teller could not provide me with the cash. Isn't that illegal?

They're very friendly and willing to work with you on some issues, but cashing a check from Wells Fargo is irritating. I can understand if the check belonged to another bank, but they charged me $7 to cash one of their own. Uncool.

You might want to familiarize yourself with bank check cashing policy Jena, this is not unique to Wells Fargo.I would assume you didn`t have an account yourself with this bank.
