Story

West Egg Café is located at 1100 Howell Mill Road in the White Provision Residences building, part of the Westside Provisions District. West Egg is open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch, along with local beers on tap and a full bar. West Egg also is a complete coffeehouse, featuring locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee and desserts made in-house by Pastry Chef Carrie Hudson. Periodically, West Egg hosts Oddbird, a hot chicken, chicken biscuit, and chicken & waffles pop up in the evenings (see oddbirdATL.com for details). Otherwise, West Egg is available for private events in the evenings. Please contact us for more information!

Visiting from out of state and West Egg Cafe was recommended by local friends. The server was extremely friendly. Wife loved her coffee and my unsweetened iced tea was freshly brewed. The garlic grits were amazing, the best grits I've ever had on my travels. The biscuit was tasty but the vegetarian sausage was a bit dry (though tasty) and the gravy needed more seasoning which is why I only gave this place 4 stars.

Was asked by a friend to join him for breakfast at this spot. It was my first time but I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We were waited by Taylor who did a superb job. The food was really good. I did have to season the salmon patties a bit but I have no complaints. There was a terrible wait but it was worth it. I even had a almond joy coffee. Will be returning soon. Try the grits, they're delicious!

We had a very good brunch here.  It was busy, but we did not end up waiting.  I had the pork breakfast burrito with grits which I thought was fantastic, but was very rich and heavy.  My wife had a pimento cheese omelet which she enjoyed.  It was busy, but not too loud or crowded, a bit expensive, but the food was very good and we'd be likely to visit again.

Came for brunch here on a Saturday around midday expecting a wait and there was! Had a coffee and the time passed quickly before we were called to our table. The service was excellent and we felt well taken care of. The food came quickly and was delicious, very good size portions for the money too. Overall it was a nice way to ease into Saturday on a hangover and we didn’t need to eat again all day!

Came here for the first time in the 5th of January and I'm already back one week later. The food is great. Had the steak and eggs the first time and although I am not a fan of red meat that isn't  cooked well done, I went outside the norm and it was impeccable. The Orange Mango mimosas were also amazing. I ordered a bottle though and mixed myself. Second time around j ordered the banana bread French toast and it's as good as I was told. This place is definitely on my list of favorites. Just be prepared to wait during the brunch hours.
