After only 5 months after opening, Whole Foods at this location is showing its true colors. I often pick up lunch from the salad bar and have noticed that many times, many of the trays are empty and also lack tags indicating what the item is. At the prepared counter many items lack prices. When I asked what an item was per pound the employee replied with "how much do you want?" I then said, it depends on the price. She then said $4.99 or $5.99 per pound. Which is it? After weighing out more than the amount I asked for. there seemed to be further confusion about the price. She told me to give her a few minutes. I was the only customer in the area and did not have a few extra minutes as I had to return to work. Then, my e-gift card did not read at the register and I was sent to customer service. I am giving it 3 stars. 5 for the quality of food and 1 for customer service.

Sat at the bar. A simple hello how are you I'll be with you in a second would have been nice. It's as if I was invisible. Put my money back in my wallet. Stood up, put my jacket back on looked around. What do you know. I'm still invisible!

Upscale food market with organic orientation but that it lacks some good and healthy selections found in other supermarkets -fine if you don't mind to pay more for those that you do find there or to get those that are exclusive of this place. The Metuchen location is a welcomed one, since the town lacked a supermarket ever since Eduards left it, many years ago. Be extra nice to people who work there -they seem to need a cheer.

I do like Whole Foods for certain items. They generally carry some non-standard supermarket items like specialty foods and dry goods. Their prices for those items tend to be high but at least they carry them! However, some of the goods are way overpriced compared to a "normal" supermarket so you have to be very aware as you fill your cart. Certainly their meat, fish ans produce are usually superior to other markets but, again, watch the price!

Usually I have no problems with this place but last night. I was trying to run and get a hot meal off there grill area. A guy that wasn't cooking. But other guy ask could he help out. Problem was he didnt feel like working i understand it was the end of the night but still. He was very nasty to the guy in front of me and he walked out cause he said he didnt have brown rice and he threw the plate the guy made with a anger. We up next and we had brown rice. He walked away. Other guy would is usually on the grill came up and found some brown rice for me. Very nice of the next guy but u lost a customer cause of the other guy attitude. Wish I got his name.
