The Rangers of Wild West City. Open daily mid June until Labor Day. Open weekends from May thrumid June and Labor Day thru Columbus Day.

Story

The Rangers of Wild West City is a group of re-enactors that volunteer to assist the western theme park, Wild West City in Netcong, New Jersey. Volunteers range in age from 7 to 85 and currently number 30 members. Wild West City is located in Netcong, New Jersey, at exit 25 off of Interstate Route 80.

Wild West City is seasonal and is open daily from the middle of June through Labor Day and weekends only from the first weekend in May thru June and Labor Day thru Columbus Day.

To promote and assist the western theme park, Wild West City in Netcong, New Jersey.

I love this park. I have been going since I was a kid and it's still fun as an adult. Its a great place for the whole family. They have activities that engage the kids and the staff go out of their way to stay in character and make you feel like you traveled through time. The stunts are outstanding and they have annual events through out the year, including a Back to the Future 3 re-enactment. The price of admission is low and they even have mini-museums throughout offering a learning experience for the family. I only gave it four stars because last time I went the audio narration for the live action stories was so old it was difficult to understand and I wish the food was better. Outside food is allowed in the picnic area. Overall that wouldn't keep me away. I love the place too much!

I'm a grown man and was just looking for something to do for a day. I didn't expect much, thought it might be corny. But it really wasn't bad. They had quite a bit of cool things to see. I won't say the acting is the greatest thing I've ever seen, but that's from an adult perspective. If you go with kids, you should have a good time. Gives kids a chance to see that there was life before cell phones.

The kids absolutely loved this place. It is set up like a town in the old west with horses, gun fights, train and stagecoach robberies, shops and other actual artifacts. There are lots of shows in the middle of the main street, but depending where you are it can be difficult to hear and understand the pa system. The best part is the children participation shows. The kids loved strapping on the cap guns and shooting the bandits. I remember going there when I was a little kid.
