As a northerner looking at property in the Charleston area for 2nd home/eventual relocation, I highly recommend Ann Bacot Daughtridge of William Means Real Estate.  She is knowledgeable, professional, well connected to the associated professional services you will need when buying real estate (attorneys, insurance brokers, mortgage bankers, home inspectors) and extremely helpful.  She is not only knowledgeable about the local market, but about getting real estate transactions done to your satisfaction - during this journey I have most definitely felt that Ann has had my best interests at the forefront.
