The manager called me this morning to confirm my arrival and advise me that I needed to check in by 2100. After a 5 1/2 hour drive I pulled in at 1920 and found the place closed. No answer to several voice mails, so I stayed at a local hotel. $77 down the drain, unless they'll do a refund tomorrow. Seems like innkeeper traditions of hospitality are not in effect here.

Similar to TQC Yorktown, or Munroe Hall in New London. It's a pity the accommodations aren't run by people who care about their work. These rooms are kind of cheap, but not very. Not cheap enough to justify being so slummy. Bad mattress, tiny TV placed where it's difficult to see, only one channel, no Wifi, and a cheap and stained carpet. The bathroom is shared between rooms. The shower stall is disgusting- covered with flakes of peeling paint all over. Management just slapped a rubber mat on the deck and called it a day, apparently.

I stayed here 16 years ago for almost 2 months with no air conditioning, converted dorms now has air conditioning. $80 A night worth it. I feel they keep a very cleanly place and if I can take a shower without running out of hot water is a huge plus.

No frills military approach. Clean, tidy, great for a family sharing 2 rooms. Don't expect luxury hotel.

Simple and clean. Fridge and microwave in the room is a plus. Double bed felt small when we are used to a king size. 😁
