I used Enterprise rental from this airport for my time off from my busy job. Enterprise was great. They treated me with respect and got me what I wanted. The city of Winter Haven on the other hand was very unpleasant. I had asked permission to park my vehicle there by enterprise and I got the go ahead to do so. So three days later on my vacation, I was notified by my security that my vehicle will be towed from the airport because I don’t have permission to park there. So I called the winter haven airport and talked to a nice gentleman on the phone (Tyler) and I relayed that I had rented a vehicle from enterprise and I was told that I could be parked there. A day later I got another call telling me that my vehicle will be towed. I talked to the management and explained again. So my advice to Winter Haven. If you are going to rent out space to another company. Be prepared for that company to use the space. Also, keep communication with them. The management of that Enterprise had no clue what was going on and they said they would have explained everything and cleared it up before you started threatening to tow my vehicle. Use a little common sense next time. Very typical for a city to act that way, I would have had no problem suing and wasting the tax payers time and money if they decided to tow my vehicle.

As a nearby neighbor of the airport my "experience" is coming from a different viewpoint than most of the folks who have posted reviews. We enjoy watching most of the planes taking off and landing. Most. However, I'm sitting here at 7:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning left thinking that the consideration for the nearby neighbors is zero. Loud planes flying directly overhead that are obviously in need of maintenance being​my chief complaint. Followed closely by the honking fuel trucks. Don't insult my intelligence by excusing the above. I know the difference between necessary honking and 2 trucks having fun with each other. Just as I know the difference between the sound of a well maintained plane and a rarely maintained one. Perhaps the airport management could enforce the rules ? If there actually are any.

New terminal, great restaurant (breakfast and lunch, open until 2p) and a seaplane base. Flight training including sailplane.

The restaurant is very good.  The service is friendly and efficient as well.
