Story

Outside our doors is some of North America's most beautiful country, where people from all over come to take advantage of the North Cascade's ski areas, hiking on Goat Peak, hot-air ballooning over the peaks, and soaking up all the arts and culture Winthrop has to offer. Inside our walls are quiet and relaxing accommodations where guests can recharge for their next adventure in the North Cascades Mountains. We love living life in the gorgeous Methow Valley, and helping our guests experience all that this lush land has to offer is the reason we're in this business.

Staying here right now for the balloon weekend. Great room for the price. Only issue is in your hot tub area it states the hot tub is open from 10 a.m. too 10 p.m. and I was asked to get out cause they needed to close it up at 8:45 p.m. and that they were supposed to close it at 8 but got hung up in the office. She was very appoligetic for the inconvenience but really if it states it's open till 10 p.m. and someone is in there you probably shouldn't ask them to get out.

Very well maintained motel with nicely manicured grounds. I know it's a tourist town, but this is an $80 room for $105. Not enough pillows in the room, and as Paul Simon says, "Them motel walls are cheap"; using water in any neighboring room can be heard through the walls. The fridge compressor is loud. An automatic automatic light stays on all night, shining light in the room. No clock/clock radio. Tiny toilet is like doing your business in a coffee can. Hot tub "broken", breakfast croissants be are as dry as the surrounding desert. Pool looks nice but didn't try it. Long walk to river.

Extremely sparse and dated room, but clean. No coffee maker in room (and no mugs, had to request one at desk... bring your own teabags, mugs and utensils). There was a microwave and mini fridge, 29-inch CRT "box" TV with limited channels, no bathtub (shower stall/pan with curtain), rather threadbare sheets and ill-fitting blankets (but clean). There was a kleenex box. Mattress was very comfy, and two good pillows on my queen bed. Lighting poor for reading, and no headboard on bed. Had a small balcony and nicely-maintained grounds, and a small outdoor pool. There is free, unsecured wifi IMO, a decent, affordable place to rest up, recharge and regroup for outings, but not exactly a room that was comfortable just to hang out in. I WOULD stay there again because of the price (compared to the other hotels)... just be prepared and bring supplies

The view is excellent. The room is exactly as the discription stated. I really appreciated the suggestions the inn keepers gave for food and activities in the area.
