Nice FAMILY place. Family, as in: screaming babies and kids. Good food. Cute phone at the tables to order but can barely hear the person on the other side. They should have the phones be hamburger phones. I was too full to order a malt. Paying up front got super crowded and it’s right next to the bathrooms.

A restaurant that is reminiscent of the dining experience of decades ago. Great comfort food and excellent pies. The novelty of ordering by telephone (land-line in the booth) is fun for kids.

A long time favorite among locals, this quaint burger joint serves traditional American fare as well as German favorites, including great knoephla soup, and guilty pleasures such as the ever-tempting Cheese Frenchie! Service is speedy and prices are low, though portion sizes are small by modern standards. A fun quirk for dine-in customers is the unique system of ordering: by phone! On the wall at each booth, customers will find a full menu posted next to an old-school phone (complete with cord!) that connects them to the kitchen. Patrons peruse the menu at their leisure, then simply phone in their orders. As a kid, it was a special treat to be allowed to place the order!

Yes, the burgers are good but not "the world's best". In my opinion prices are high for what you get and the atmosphere is a little depressing. I like the fact that it's been around for ever....we will see if things change one it is sold.

Love the small town cafe feel of the place. And the ham and cheese frenchies are so good.
