Woodman's was founded in 1919. The Oak Creek store location opened March 26th, 2008.

Story

Woodman’s Markets are a fresh change from the super box multi-product stores like Wal-Mart and Meijer and the national grocery chains like Dominick’s, Jewel, and Pick n’Save. Currently, shoppers access Woodman’s stores all the way from Green Bay, WI to the Chicagoland suburbs of Illinois. Customers rely exclusively on Woodman’s stores for their grocery needs, and there is good reason why. Woodman’s offers huge variety and much lower prices than these other grocery stores and super box operators. In addition to grocery items, Woodman’s stores also feature huge, extremely well-stocked liquor stores, discount gas stations, oil change centers and car washes. This makes Woodman’s a convenient one-stop, grocery-shopping destination.

The prices and the vast selection are great - but the over-crowding and poor layout make shopping there a miserable experience, especially if you go on the weekends. That's not necessarily the fault of Woodman's (although they could definitely redo the aisles and create better signage to help redirect the flow of traffic), and they're taking steps to work around this (Grocery pickup, delivery, etc.) The oil change center in the gas station deserves five stars, though. They do a great job for $20. The hours are limited, however.

THE food store, not just in Wisconsin but all the USA (unless you're looking for plump-your-pillows-and-wipe-your-chin type pampering). Smart, smart operators here. Incredible selection of foodstuffs, all priced better than anywhere else because they know how to keep operating costs down. Stores are enormous but always laid out the same, after 3 visits you'll know where the stuff you're looking for is. Open 24 hours, always no-fee ATMs, and friendly and attentive service despite the size and low prices. A+.

Always got what need. The best part is that its aldi prices with big store quality. We have a large family and would shop at 3 stores to save money and get quality food. Woodmans is now the only store i go to. The oak creek store is always clean and well stocked. The employees are top notch and extremely polite.

Woodman's is one of my favorite stores. I go out of my way to shop there. They have more products that I use as a baker and cook. The meat selection is good the produce selection is even better and the staff is usually really helpful. They should take a little more time in the checkout line with people's produce though.

Great prices. Clean. Crowded on weekends, but not so much weekday mornings. Gere you can find anything you need. Separate aisles of gluten free and special foods. Good prices on pinatas.
