This is the most beautiful park I've ever been to! The views are amazing, and there are plenty of hiking trails ranging from easy to difficult. If you have a chance, check out the Sugar Maple Trail. The Pictured Rock Cave is absolutely breathtaking! This is a more difficult trail and we did have to climb over/under some fallen trees. My 8 & 12 year old daughters did this trail, but not without a lot of complaining. We have also done the Sand Cave Trail, which is moderately difficult, in my opinion. You can't get up close and personal with the caves within this trail. The Bluff Trail contains the Treasure Cave, which was also very beautiful. The Homestead campsites are large and fairly private. The animals are VERY bold, so make sure you lock up your coolers! We were sitting around a campfire the first night, and a raccoon came out and helped himself to some food on our picnic table about 10 feet away from us. Then about 15 minutes later, a skunk came out to scavenge. It got within just a few feet of us. My oldest daughter was terrified! Once we turned in for the night, the raccoons came back and tried getting into our cooler. I had to turn my car alarm on to get it to go away. They often have fun activities for the kids, so that is a plus. Last time we were there, we were disappointed that the playground by the Homestead Campground was torn down. They were doing some work there, so not sure if they were updating the playground or putting something else there. All in all, this is a great park for camping, hiking, and taking in the beautiful views. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Absolutely stunning. We stayed for 5 days and felt as if we were in heaven. Pam in the office is a true sweetheart. We stayed in the ridge and it was beautiful rain or shine :)

Nice park, pretty clean bathrooms.horrible storm. Was surprised not a very good system to notify people. To clear out of their tents. So many fallen trees. Roads blocked and no Ranger in sight checking the roads till an hour and a half to two hours later. Many campers clearing the roads themselves. Including myself. There was one camper his son and daughter checking on all the camps to make sure all were ok. And them reporting back to the main office. We also went to check on the scouts there in group camp . A little disappointed in the way they handle storms.
