The location is central to all the shops and restaurants on Thames street. Accommodations are great. Check in was easy and while checking we shared that we were celebrating our 10 yr wedding anniversary and moments after getting to our room we got call saying they put together a lil something to celebrate the night. The gift was some nice bubbly, sweets, bath bomb, and a nice note. Staff went above and beyond which was awesome.

We stayed in a one bedroom unit that is actually across the street from the main resort. It's very functional in its amenities, but to use the pools/hot tubs or theater, we need to actually leave our building and walk across the street. Not an issue in the summertime, I'm sure, but it's February and I don't feel like freezing coming back to our room after swimming, so we probably won't use those resort features. The building we are in does, however, have a lovely rooftop deck that offers panoramic views of Newport. From our room we can watch an active shipyard, we have an up close view of the Pell Bridge (lovely when lit up at night) and we are within walking distance of many nice restaurants. Parking is difficult however. Most parking spaces here at the building we are in are tandem spaces... Meaning of you pull all the way in, another car can pull in behind you-but then you're trapped. It would be fine if you had 2 cars in one party, but I'm leery of pulling in all the way and not being able to leave when I need to. Also, there don't seem to be enough spaces for everyone... So again, I don't want to drive anywhere and lose my space. Just little problems like this keep me from giving it 5 stars. I'm only here for 2 nights, so it's not a big deal, but if I were renting for a week in winter, it would be. The bedding is lovely. We both slept soundly last night. The bathroom is roomy. Lots of storage space and the kitchen is stocked with all the things one would need during the course of a stay here. A Lobster shack is literally right behind the building with fresh caught lobster, what more could one ask for?!

I LOVE this resort for the location! I sit and watch the lobster boats come and go and unload their catch of the day. It's a no frills smaller resort, but is equipped with a small kitchenette and the basics you need. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and we'll furnished.

Enjoyed my stay. Short walk to everything and the room looked out over the water. Front desk was very helpful and staff were very friendly and prompt.

We would like to thank the staff at Wyndham Inn on Long Wharf in Newport for the pleasant and wonderful five days we had recently. From the front desk staff of Gabriel, Mary, and Pari, to the Activity staff of Andrew, Lydia, Laura and Katie, they made our stay memorable. Our spacious 3 bedroom suite made our stay relaxing. With the super bowl festivities by the fireplace, the sauna, spa, and indoor/outdoor pool, to the three day recreation project my wife was working on, made the time go to quickly. Got to see four of the mansions, Fort Andrew, part of the cliff walk,as well as a short walk away to the shops and wharf areas. With onsite parking, we didn't have to worry about parking. It is definitely on my come back to places in the near future, a definite 5 stars out of 5....thanks to all again at this resort for a fantastic time.
