Y’all Down Home Cafe has the Southern, home cooked soul food you love in a quaint and comfortable setting great for friends and family looking for an great dining experience.

Our restaurant menu is inspired by Mama’s home favorites with a soul food flare. We’re serving dishes made from scratch - from our cornbread to our sweet potato pie.

Not sure what to order? Check out our famous fried pork chops with brown gravy - it's always a hit! We also have other southern favorites like fried catfish, chicken wings, burgers, po' boys and more.

Great food and fantastic service. The meatloaf is a different take than your "typical" meatloaf with a mild spiciness. Enough to give you the flavor but not burn. My friend had the fried ribs and really enjoyed them as well. Tasty cornbread is served with all meals, large portions, enough to take home for lunch the next day. Another friend had dessert which he thoroughly enjoyed, waiter advised the owner makes them from scratch, daily. Will definitely return, looking forward to taking my husband to a new place.

Part of me wants to give 3 stars and part wants to give 5. If you happen to interact with Don, you will realize why I nearly gave 5 stars, not to mention the exceptional quality of food. His professionalism is impossible not to notice as he made us feel important and welcomed. Dining-in is definitely a better experience than picking up. You have to pick-up at the bar, which doesn't offer the same welcoming feeling, but maybe it was a just bad day. Anyway, we arrived past when our order should've been ready, yet had to awkwardly wait an additional 10 minutes, until Don came to the rescue. Furthermore, after getting home, we found two of the three orders were missing sides. Don promised to make that right next time. We will definitely be back, but probably not to the bar unless it's for a drink.

Food order had to be changed twice due to sides running out. Understandable however the waitress started asking to make the first change after waiting at the table for 45 minutes with out food. We had to go get our own drinks at the bar because the waitress never asked us for drinks during the entire 1.5 hour ordeal. About an hour in with still no food the waitress came back and asked us to change our sides again because the had none left. I elected to just take the meat portion of the meal and not be forced to take sides that were unwanted. Waitress was extremely rude. Easy to spot her she is the one who looks drugged out with teeth problems. I and another guest got a cold chicken fried steak and other guest was given a tiny cup of rice. When my cold steak was done about 10 minutes later the appetizer arrived after the partial meal was served. Then they charged me for an entire meal, which I was not given.. Manager said that the chicken fried steak was the full price and that the sides are free so pay the full amount for a partial meal. The did offer a $4 credit after much protest.

Had a great experience at this place. The vibe is positive and gives the home like feeling. The food is definitely prepared with love. I did not have to use any additional seasoning as I normally do...the favors worked perfect together. The service was quick and the staff is personable, family orientated. When we are back in Austin, we will be returning...wish we would found Y'all's Cafe sooner in our visit.

Came in on fried chicken night, was not disappointed. The chicken is hot and juicy and super flavorful. The collards were amazing, the fried cabbage was heavenly. My husband got the fried pork chops with black eyed peas. They were quite nice as well. Well absolutely come back here. High five to the cooks, they are working some magic back there!
