Stayed at RV Resort and campground. We had a site (104) near the highway and could see the lake from our site. Site was a bit tricky to back into but doable. Highway noise didn't bother us and campground and amenities were clean. Staff was very nice as well. Zephyr cove and beach was right across the street with various beach and water activities. We enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return.

Stayed at the Cabins at Zephyr Cove. Awesome for me, my husband and the dog. Staff was super friendly and all the excitement was only a 10-15 minute drive south of us. Definitely would stay here again.

We embarked upon the scenic Emerald Bay excursion cruise. The view of Lake Tahoe was scenic and pleasant, but eventually became a bit boring. The excursion around Emerald Bay, including the view of Vikingsholm, however was beautiful. During the return trip, they show a video from 1993 of the underwater exploration of the lake. I would advise skipping it unless you are quite bored or hot from being on the deck. Definitely bring lots of sunscreen. I suggest that you use the bathrooms at the pier instead of fighting with the other people on board to use the ones on the ship. Beverages are available on board, including wine, beer, and cocktails. Classic sports bar food is also available, such as chili, chicken fingers, and more.

The key to a good start is reservation s 6 month ahead and pay over $100 a night for a nicer spot. I paid $86 a night and my neighbor was 6 inches from my awning. They stack you like cord wood. The staff was young and snooty. And I had to shovel my own space out from the mud. I told them and the young girl giggled and said thank.you.

I stayed at the walk-in campsites over the course of two nights. The campsites we're very nice with many trashcans, clean restrooms, and very helpful staff. The campsites are a bit of an uphill trek from the parking area, maybe 50-100 yards. I was able to park a 20 foot moving truck in the lot with no problems. Definitely would recommend camping here.
