Scheduled to pick up a moving truck in May at 2pm on a Saturday. 8am received a call to confirm, told them it might be closer to 1pm. Showed up at 1pm and employee was talking to a police officer and was told I'd have to come back after 2pm because he was at lunch. Was NEVER told they were closed from 1-2pm for lunch. Not by website, not from confirmation call that morning. Came back at 2pm and it took about AN HOUR to check out. There were NO other customers. My card was charged TWICE. Both charges cleared my account immediately. Employee told me extra charge would be taken off at drop off location. Truck did not have a ramp. I've never had a moving truck with no ramp. Was not given an option at any time, and have seen other Penske trucks of same size with a ramp. Who needs a spine anyways? Next day dropped off employee stated he had no control over charges from other facilities. Gave me a number for the regional office I could call Monday. Called regional office Monday and was basically called a liar because they said only one charge appeared on their end. Called ahwatukke foothills storage manager, who was nice and apologetic. Asked that I fax my bank records and I would be reimbursed. I faced the next day, and have never heard from them again, except that she received the fax. Thankfully I used my bank card and reported it as fraudulent charges and my bank refunded me two weeks later. Bottom line-I won't ever use Penske or ahwatukee foothills storage again. I'll stick with hail and budget.
