I called for a quote and was given a reasonable estimate for a 2 man move at 4 hours. I arranged to have the move. They don’t take American Express so rather than using my credit card as I had hoped to do I had to use my visa logo debit card for the $100 deposit. 
Well 15 minutes after charging my card they called me back and told me that because I had an elevator the 2 man job would require a third person to stand around and guard the truck. This would increase the cost by $135. So I told them to please cancel or reverse the charges on my debit card. Well a week later the charges were withdrawn from my account and after calling them. Complaining that the charges were asked to be reversed 15 minutes after they were made, I was informed that I would have to wait another 5 to 10 business days before they would reverse those charges.

I’m furious. What if that withdrawal had overdrawn my account because I believed they were reversed as I was told on that second phone conversation?

Use them if you want but be aware if an elevator is involved a man must be uselessly standing by the truck. Make them take the stairs and say elevator broken. Save yourself the cost of the extra man.
I myself will never use them because I feel as if $100 were stolen to be “borrowed” for a few weeks without my consent.
They will probably respond that this is a fake account but I assure you they know exactly who I am from this description and I am very aware of who stole my $100. Job ordered Dec 21st. January 1st, still no credit back to my account. Move from Dania Florida to Davie Florida of a 1 bedroom/ 1 bath condo. 
Respond again this isn’t about you and I will post this story on every social media review site that I can find. 
Or issue my dang credit immediately and apologize for my inconvenience as should have been done 5 days ago when I complained about this!

Price was fair and delivery was on time. Movers were friendly and communication between the moving company/delivery truck was very good. Couple of items were damaged even though we were very careful when packing items. Couch cushion went missing but was located and mailed back to us in a somewhat reasonable time frame. Used American twice and have recommended them to other family that was moving. Overall happy with the this business.

AVL's customer service shines. Every one of my concerns pre, during, and post the move were addressed with speed and professionalism. The movers were seasoned pros who expertly wrapped and loaded my belongings. Really enjoyed the experience and will be recommending them to future friends and family!

they were efficient and delivered the products 2000 miles away in the time window given. Their cost was very economical. They were able to accommodate were very strict deadlines

This is a great company with great customer service. They care for your belongings and do as promised. The other nice thing is that they don't charge for using tape or furniture covers like most moving companies. I will def use them again for my next move.
