I have an old flute from my high school days that I haven't used at all in a few years, and I wanted to get a good cleaning to make sure it was ready to use for a church performance next month. I'm new to the area, so Google is my only resource, and Amro was the only music repair shop I could find in the area. While the technician I spoke to was very polite, he was not able to help me with what I consider a pretty routine request. He seemed confused why I brought my flute in since it was perfectly playable. When I explained it needed a good cleaning, and specifically that several of the pads were sticky, he said there wasn't really anything that could be done about it because they would just get sticky again. I was shocked to hear this because, throughout middle school and high school, I would send my flute in a few times a year for a cleaning and for sticky pads, and they would send it back with minimal or no sticking. Obviously, this sort of problem does return, but that's no reason to ignore it and not get it taken care of periodically. He made it sound like there was nothing he could do to help me. Maybe they only do repairs, not just cleanings, at this store. Maybe the cost would have been astronomical without having a contract with the store and he was trying to shield me from that. I'm really not sure. All I know is I will just have to clean my flute as best I can myself and try to ignore the sticky keys. Very frustrating since, as far as I can tell, they were my only option. I gave my review 2 stars rather than 1 because the staff in general was very polite and helpful (the salesman downstairs had the front door open for me before I had even finished getting my baby out of the car) and the store set up was very nice. It made me miss my concert band days.

Today was my 1st visit here. My daughter plays the trumpet in the 5th grade band at Munford middle school. I was absolutely blown away by the service provided by Bradley Frith! He has a very apparent care for the future of musicians as children. He spent extra time with my daughter giving her tips and showing her different techniques. By far the best customer service I've seen in a very long time. If u have a musical need please ask for him! We will return to see him soon!

It's one of the most (if not the most!) complete and nice music showrooms/stores I've been in, and I've been in a lot around the country.

A few years back I had a terrible experience in this store and swore I would never return. Today (10/21), I had to go back because I had no other alternatives. Today, I met Kale McDaniel, Band & Orchestra Sales. He restored my faith, not only in Amro Music's ability to hire good people, but in young people being professional and knowledgeable. He made making a major purchase a good day for me. Thank you Kale McDaniel!

Full disclosure: AMRO is a client of mine, but the review is 100% about their outstanding service for me personally. When I reached out to them for help with a short term piano rental for my daughter, they bent over backwards and got me a piano within hours! They saved the day and made me even prouder of our relationship!
